I received the wrong order on accident, and when i called to let them know they went ABOVE AND BEYOND to give me the correct order. They even offered to get it delivered for me and when they did i find out they gave me DOUBLE the potstickers i ordered. Kind people, good service and yummy food. i really recommend this place :)
Was recently at Shanghai Alley for lunch. Friends had recommended them. Had the most exquisite dish called "Charred Cabbage" which has really interesting with complex flavours. Highly recommend it (with a side of rice). The serving is enough for 2 for lunch.
Staff super friendly. Chef stopped by to ask my opinion and I couldn't stop raving about it.
Will definitely make the trip out there from Toronto to have this dish again.
It was the first time to visit a restaurant in Oakville, and I was soooo satisfied with the food and the service!!! I highly recommend this place. The food price is reasonable, and the portion is pretty enough too. Also, the mood of the restaurant is perfect. I fell in love with the cozy and aesthetic inside. What is more, there is a server who can speak Korean. If you are Korean or able to use the language, you can get help from her! She was very kind and friendly. My friend and I had a really nice time here. I would like to visit again here next time!
First dinner experience with Shanghai Alley last night. The food we ordered was beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. All was fresh and perfectly cooked. We will definitely come again! Highly recommend!
I got the braised buns because it was an unique menu item that I haven't seen anywhere else. Each bun averaged out to be around $3 and although it is a little bit pricey, the pork filling made it so worth it. It was packed with pork that had a variety of textures and the flavor was great. It almost felt like I was eating chinese pancakes with pork belly. I'm definitely interested in going back to try more items!
A very specialty restaurant run by the owner. Delicious Shanghai food, fresh and healthy ingredients. Excellent chef, nice and sweet waitresses. Will definitely come back again!

I looked over many restaurants reviews for my short business trip in Oakville and this restaurant really caught my attention. Everyone talk about the salmon and it was truly worth every pennies. I really wanted to try something new and this restaurant succeeded with the coconut curry salmon. The staff was also super sweet, they were very attentive and made sure that I was satisfied with my choice
Popped in for a late lunch on a beautiful sunny Sunday, made sure I sat on the patio, to people watch on Lakeshore road in downtown Oakville.
I had heard this place was good but over priced, I found it quite reasonably priced, especially after seeing the size of the dishes coming to my table, and those were the small ones!
I found the food fresh and tasty, albeit I would like a bit more heat on the general Tso, but other than that a great dish!
Service was good and friendly, this being my first time she did recommend ordering the “small” portion, and that one rice and one dish would be enough for two, but I went ahead and ordered another…. The black bean beef, as well as the spring rolls….way too much food, enough for another meal later!
Overall a great dining experience, great location, quality food, would definitely go back!
Second time to go there…! Food presentation were beautiful,(tasted AMAZING obviously) all the servers were sooo friendly…Loved the cozy atmosphere…?Also, The Live Music Performance of Guzheng instrument by Seven made our night more beautiful…would recommend 120%!!
What started as a curiosity looking at the beautiful dishes people were enjoying on the patio, ended up in multiple visits that always start with fresh watermelon juice and Mango coconut Sago drinks. Today I was in the mood for something a little bit spicy so ordered the recommended Kung pao chicken over steamed rice; when I heard they had freshly hand crafted Bao, well you just know we had to have some - it takes a special magic to create a crispy bottom and moist tasty top. I’m so thankful you’re here in our beautiful Oakville, the portions are generous, your staff is always on their game and it’s nice to come back to a place where they know you by your name.
