Best Hunan food in Davis I think. Hunan Bar and Grill is good to but his is a bit better.
Try the non typical dishes and you won't be sorry.
I'm so happy to find a good place for Hunan food. It is pretty hidden in G street. We came here pretty often and my favorite dishes is chicken gizzard with pickle green beans but I didn't take a photo here . The most recent time we visitted that place, we ordered a stir-fried egglant with green beans and boiled fish in chilli oil. The vegetables are still crunchy whole cooked and the flavor is super tasty. We also like the boiled fish. The portion is big and it has lots of fish in the dish. I tried many Chinese restaurants around Davis and this place is pretty nice in terms of food. The service is nice but the second time we came here it was very crowded so we had been waiting for so long to be served. However it is understandable for new business.
Highly recommend whenever you are craving for something spicy and yummy !!!

I was totally blown away by the amount of flavor packed in the food! It brought me back to my memories living in China and eating really really good food. Every we ordered was super authentic and tasty and they have super local foods that you can't find anywhere else!!
Highly recommend if you are looking for a good hunan/sichuan restaurant, but don't recommend for those who aren't familiar with this cuisine.
Hopefully they can keep this going for years to come

the server was nice, and the food was delicious! No heating in the winter, make sure to bring an extra jacket!
Very, very good Hunan food. My Chinese neighbors confirmed it was quite authentic. A bit expensive but everything has shot up in the past year.
Service was horrific. We ordered and sat for 35 minutes and when we asked twice where our food was the person said they would check. After 40 minutes the same server that took our order came back to take it again. She had lost it and couldn't recall any of the 5 items we had ordered. I still gave it 5 stars due to the quality and flavor of the food. Every dish was exceptional. And they will figure out how to deal with service over time.
So good!!! My favorite Chinese food so far in Davis. Hunan is a southern province in China which is famous for spicy flavors. You shouldn’t miss it if you love spicy food!
Delicious Hunan Chinese cuisine! The food was amazing and by far the best I’ve had in Davis so far! Look forward to trying some other tasty dishes.
Loved this place, all the dishes were so flavorful and fresh, and all came to our table super quick. Big portions. Friendly and attentive service as well!
The owner is so sweet! The food tastes so authentic and spicy! Definitely worth a try!
