I was so happy to see Mount&Bao emerge unscathed from the pandemic. This place is SO good. It's hard to pick what our favorite dish was, but we got a wide selection of items, including pan fried pork Xiao Long Bao, tofu salad, chive and pork dumplings, wontons in chili sauce, chive & egg pancakes, and the mushroom & Napa bao along with hot tea. I'd highly recommend the wontons, tofu salad, and pork Xiao Long Bao, but you can't go wrong.
It was a one-man show at the restaurant, but the restaurant owner was so kind and the service was smooth, timely, and welcoming. It wasn't very busy, but I was very surprised to see him manage everything on his own, but he created a warm and friendly atmosphere and we can't wait to come back.
Please try this place if you haven't already!
Soooooooo good!!! We were pleasantly surprised when we accidentally stumbled into this joint. Service is friendly and food is delish! We will definitely be coming back
The baos here are legit! It's not the flashiest of places, but the flavors are authentic and the homemade baos are delicious. Definitely try the soup dumplings. We also had an incredibly nice server who refilled our to-go cups with ice as we were heading out for a walk.
My first time with this business was the last time, I had it delivered and I am absolutely hands-down in love with this place. Every single dish was incredible. We had the spicy dumplings, kung pow chicken- I even have the traditional red dried peppers in it which give us a plural flavor and it's spicy with such great flavors! We also had two of the soups one of the dumpling soups and then the beef and noodle.
This is such a treat, I'm definitely going to be ordering from
this place monthly!
This is a rare find!
The food here is very authentic. Pan fried bao was one of the best we have had in years, with perfect soft bun and tender juicy filling. The dumplings were great too, very tasty and tender fillings and hand-made wrap. I wish there is such a place near where we live. But we will be back for sure.
Delicious! I order take out right before they closed and they were super nice about it. I got the pork xiao long bao, steamed char siu bao and they gave me a free cup of hot and sour soup. Highly recommend the dumplings and bao! Can't wait to go back
So happy you can dine in again! When you get a dumpling craving, you need to give Mount & Bao a shot! Freshly made, friendly service, simple and pure. You don't need the fluff when you're getting handmade noodles, and dumplings made daily!
I try to vary and try new dishes, but the pork and chive dumplings are always on my order list. Dan Dan noodles, sesame noodles- you can't go wrong! Support this wonderful neighborhood restaurant. Lucky Lake City, if I lived there, I'd be eating there every week!
This may have been the best Chinese food I've ever had. We were struggling to pick only a few things for two of us and decided leftovers were fine, just fine. Our first dish was the Kung Pao chicken. I felt like I had what Kung Pao chicken was supposed to be. You could see all the fresh, chopped ingredients like garlic and fresh ginger, green onion in a spicy/tangy clearly scratch made sauce. The chicken was tender and juicy. We also tried the pan-fried Xiao long (soup) bao. So tasty and arranged with broth and finely chopped chives. The soup noodle was tender and the pork filling was delicate, juicy, and tender. The pan fried pork bao were each the size of my fist with a generous, juicy, delicate pork meatball inside. Lastly, we saved the red bean paste sesame balls for last and they were my favorite and best sesame balls ever. Fresh friend and again, generous portion, the red bean paste was piping hot and flavorful, not too sweet and not dry. The toasted sesame enhanced the experience with the chewy glutinous rice enveloping the bean paste. I'll definitely be going back.
The food is great. The service is wonderful. The atmosphere is ok. Tiny place. My meal came with a bit of a show. This lady comes walking in from the back very angry, because her dumplings were taking so long. I think she was the owner. Other than that I would recommend this place. I think this is as close to Chinese food as you can get. I need to come back and try other stuff.
Awesome food! Not too salty. Fresh ingredients! Love this place! Will come again and again.
Soooo delicious! I had Wuhan hot dry noodle, Chinese broccoli, and spinach buns and they were all fresh and perfectly prepared. My husband had the shrimp dumplings and tomato soup dumplings and love both of those as well. We ended up ordering frozen dumplings to take home we enjoyed this place so much.
