The food is awesome. Good price for a good amount of food. Definitely try their milk pudding.
If you come here for the first time, start with the beef rice noodle, and also maybe the shrimp rice noodle. The rice noodle is my comfort food and makes me feel warm.
Porridge tastes great. Portion is huge with plenty of ingredients inside.
Rice roll is tasty but not silky enough. Shrimps and beef in the rice roll are fresh.
You will need to order and pay for the food at the counter before getting a table.
Clean environment with a lot of seats.
No doubt the best rice noodle rolls in the Bay Area!
My bf was born and raised in Guangzhou, the origin of this dish, and has been on the quest to find the most authentic steamed noodle rolls for years. We've tried every place and it never lived up to his standard, until we visited MingKee. Their rice rolls are made using the most traditional methods thus makes the layer very very thin. Tears of happiness
I love their daily soup too! So comforting.
If you like authentic porridge and rice rolls, you gotta try out Ming Kee!

My mom says it's just like how she has it back in the "old days" when she was in Hong Kong. The way they make the rice rolls is different than other dim sum restaurants. You won't be disappointed by the heart and effort they put into making all of their dishes. Their tables are a bit small if you order 3 dishes to share between 2 people so just keep that in mind if you like to order a lot of dishes to try.
They're in a small plaza, so there's lots of parking.
I love this place for authentic Cantonese comfort food. Most of the crowd is Chinese/Cantonese speaking, and it feels like a little slice of HK right in the bay. You order and pay before getting seated.
I don't think it's on the English menu but I highly recommend the "beef tongue" which has neither beef nor tongue lol. It's similar to the Chinese donut and it sorta looks like a fried beef tongue, hence the name. It's made to order and fried to perfection. I think it has a bit of condensed milk in the center. My mom said she used to eat this all the time in HK when she was a kid, and she's so happy to finally find a place near us that serves this item.
The pidan porridge was a slight miss, bc there was barely any preserved egg in the porridge. The taste was really good though. The Sampan porridge was a lot better, and I appreciated that they separated the dry toppings from the porridge when we ordered it to-go.
Definitely don't miss out on the rice noodle rolls. The rice noodle is presented in a different format than the flat style in dim sum. The difference in texture is really noticeable and unique.
Highly recommend this place as a Cantonese. All the porridges are very authentic and I'm glad that finally there is great milk pudding in the South Bay Area.
The rice noodle roll was average+ though, good but not surprising. The daily soup made me feel like home.
Parking is easy in the plaza and they add 12% service charge when you place order in front.
The food very authentic, the porridge tasty with a touch of toppings on the side so u can add however you like. Another highlight dishes here are shrimp noodles, and pork noodle rolls, they both my favorite. The portion is medium but get full very quickly.
Check-in and order at the cashier, the service was quick then they will assign a table for us. They have pepper, chili oil on the table for ur own liking. I like this place a lot!
The porridge here really hits the spot. You order and pay first before you sit down. Not sure if it's just when I went but it's super quiet here. Not much talking going on even thought it was almost full house. Everyone's just quietly eating porridge LOL!
The porridge and the daikon cake are delicious. Love having this place as an option. The daikon cake is cut into smaller pieces and therefore are crunchy on more surfaces. I usually love rice rolls. Their version is different from the one you would typically get at dim sum, very innovative. It's not as soft but it definitely looks appetizing.
MingKee Deli was so good that we came here multiple times in one week, but be warned, the lines here can get long! I would recommend coming here during off times or when they just open. With that out of the way, the premise here at MingKee Deli is well, much like a Cantonese deli. You pay first before getting your food and the food comes rapidly once you have been seated which is good since you'll usually build up an appetite while waiting in line!
We ordered the preserved egg and pork porridge - which comes in a massive bowl and can easily be shared, turnip cake, you tiao, shrimp and beef rice rolls, curry fish balls and pork skin, and a milk pudding + red bean dessert. The absolute standouts here were the turnip cake, rice rolls, and the pork skin. The turnip cake was just so crispy on the outside while retaining its soft interior. Personally I am a sucker for the sponge like texture of the pork skins and it was even better when they were soaking up all that delicious curry sauce. Finally, the rice rolls were all freshly made so they were exceptionally soft and receptive to the sweet soy sauce poured over them. Each packet also hid massive and juicy shrimp - what a delight! I would highly recommend MingKee Deli if you are looking for the Canto classics!
It's the ideal place for comfort food after a hard day's work or if you're craving for some nice Cantonese street food.
- Beef Brisket Rice Noodle Roll: I love the texture of the rice noodle, exactly what I had in Guangzhou. And I like the sauce that they pour over the beef brisket.
- BBQ Pork Rice Noodle Roll: I personally think this is more flavorful than the beef brisket one. It tastes especially good when dipped in the chili sauce that they provide to each table.
- Assorted Pork Porridge: This is the best assorted pork porridge I've had in a while! A sprinkle of white pepper powder would help bring out the flavor.
- Soup of the day: Can't remember what exactly is in the soup but it just tastes authentically Cantonese
