The some of the best fried noodles I've had in Southern California.
Spice is pleasant but not overwhelming, noodles are consistently perfectly cooked, and the servings are generous especially considering the free fill-up on noodles.
Would recommend adding the fried egg to help soak some of the flavour on any of their fried noodles, and between the green chili noodle and Dan Dan mian we couldn't decide what we liked more.
Pork jowl and croaker were fine, but nothing special. Despite that, the noodles are too good to overlook.

So good! A great new noodle place located next to the Mitsuwa. We waited 15 minutes on a Thursday night, and were seated right away. I ordered the braised beef noodle soup and had enough leftovers for lunch the next day. The beef falls apart with a poke of a chopstick, and was not too spicy for an enjoyable bowl of noodles. The noodles were perfectly chewy, and the best part is they give you free refills of noodle if the first serving isn't enough for you. Delicious! I still prefer thick noodles, but a great option for beef noodle soup in Irvine!

My boyfriend spotted this place on Yelp and thought that the pictures looked tasty. We don't usually eat this type of cuisine together, so I was excited to come and try this spot with him. It's located in a plaza that doesn't have a lot of parking as it's filled with a lot of other popular places.
We ordered Dan Dan Noodles, Braised Beef Noodle Soup, and the Pork Jowl skewers. We were super disappointed to find out that their Spicy Wontons were out of stock, but seeing as they just opened and still seem to be figuring out the menu and such, it couldn't be helped. Most of the food arrived at the same time, and OMG.
The Dan Dan noodles are perfection. Actual perfection. Every other dan dan noodle that I've eaten in my life is NOTHING compared to this. The perfect amount of chili oil, meat, and sauce coating the chewy noodle. I was completely obsessed. It did get a bit salty halfway through, but that's where the Braised Beef Noodle Soup came through. It looks really heavy with all of the oil on top, but I actually found the soup really refreshing. The beef chunks were HUGE, yet so tender. I will say that it doesn't absorb a lot of soup flavor though, which could make it a bit bland to some. The noodle soup has an addictive quality to it as my boyfriend couldn't stop eating it.
Pork Jowl skewers were definitely high quality and unique. Although it looks on the smaller side, I would reccomend taking smal bites of the skewer as it's actually crispy and pretty hearty to eat. Once we finished our first serving of Dan Dan Noodles, the waiter actually told us about free noodle refills! I absolutely loved that, and there was enough meat/sauce to coat the second serving nicely. I thought noodle refills is such a nice touch to the restaurant.
I will not stop raving about the Dan Dan noodles from this place. We are making this place a priority to come back to, especially to try the Spicy Wontons which in my mind, no doubt that it will be as mind blowing as the other dishes. So so good!

came during soft opening night.
delicious flavor, especially the Dan dan noods, everything came out fresh and quick. ORDER THE EGG BOMB! just dooo itttttt! The only odd part with this whole dining experience was the lack of interaction with the servers since we ordered through an app while sitting down and they bring the food out to you- sigh times are changing and we must rely on technology, call me old fashion but I like to order face-to-face with someone hehehe... i'll just need some time to get used to it :P
will come back again to try other items on the menu!!

Decided to try this place out for dinner tonight and had a really great experience! There were some issues with our order not getting sent to the kitchen and getting cancelled and our food took around 30 minutes BUT our server was amazing. He was super apologetic and offered us a discount and was just overall really good. The food itself was also amazing! We got the beef noodle soup which was flavorful and the meat was perfectly tender. Make sure to add the bomb egg too! The dan dan noodles were perfectly spicy, a little oily but not horrible.
Definitely going to be returning back here even though we had some issues this time. The food was too good!

The food is really good , new spicy place in the neighborhood.
the BBsoup, spicy spicy spice, it's really really nice.
Yes I had a pork jowl, it was enough to make you howl.

This is a new noodle place in Irvine and is a complete gem. The staff is amazing and really helped out with menu. For appetizers we got the fried croaker and pork jowl skewers. Both were crunchy and packed with flavors, can't go wrong with either. I tried out two of the noodles, the Sichuan braised beef noodles and Dan Dan noodles. You have to get the "Bomb Egg" as an add on, I know pretty bomb name yeah? It's pretty much a egg fried in oil and it really adds flavors to the dishes. The noodles were fresh and the sauces had a good balance of flavors. The beef also was tender and melt in your mouth good. If your in the Irvine area and feeling noodles, this place is a total checkout. It's next to mitsuwa, on the ride side of one of the exits.

The spicy braised beef noodle is packed with authentic flavors, tender pieces of beef, and a good spicy kick! The noodles are perfectly cooked and extra noodles are free. The pork skewers were delicious and our favorite. I would skip on the kids meal since it was only 4 wontons and a dessert cheese ball although I would HIGHLY recommend that dessert cheese ball as a dessert. It's lightly sweet, crunchy and gooey like a mochi. I would probably come here JUST for that!! It would be great to see the menu expand to include some non-spicy options and just as an overall balance to all the chili oil dishes. However everything else was on point!!

For appetizers, we got Fry Pork Jowl Skewers (that was seriously good) and Spicy Deep Fry Yellow Croaker. For main entree, we got spicy Sichuan Braised Beef and Dan Dan Noodles that was loaded with so many good things! We also added Bomb egg that made the dishes even better due to its fried egg texture, which was really yummy and thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
The Assam Milk Tea and Yuan Chi Sparkling Water beverages that we had was also good too! Highly recommend everything and would go back again
Make sure you keep a look out on one of the exits of Mitsuwa on the right for this spot as Google Maps may lead you astray of this hidden gem.

That Dan Dan Noodle dish was Fn good. It smelled so good in the car that I couldn't wait to eat it and forgot the Pic lol. The noodles were perfect. And the flavor explosion was on point with some heat. For you mild lovers beware. This one had my nose running but not in an overpowering way. Loved it!!

Dan Dan noodles it's my favorite, you have to try it out, a little bit spicy and delicious.

Great ambiance, quality furnishings, (I like the quality of their chopsticks) but best of all... the Flavors are amazing.
Love the braised beef  and the Dan Dan noodles!!!!
Our server was very generous to offer complimentary noodles when I realized they don't serve steamed rice.
So glad that there is a great noodle house near our house
