I don't have picture because food was so good that I had to just eat it hahaha. I have been searching for Hunan(Chili pepper like spice not like numbing kind) food and finally found it :) If I am in the area, I will go back and eat again! :)

Extremely casual spot that seemed unusually empty on a Saturday night, but I'm very glad we held onto as it's a great place for Chinese comfort foods from a variety of regions that holds back on the salt (cause Grandma cares about your blood pressure).  Expect plain décor and simple, but reasonably fast service.  Grandma's Kitchen is a very appropriate name.
Ordering had us use their online system with a QR code at the table that gets sent straight back to the kitchen quickly enough (they even came to ask us if we actually wanted rice within a minute since I forgot to put it in the order).
Everything was decadent and I wish I had stomach space to order more.  We settled on some kou rou (steamed pork slices, AKA gloriously fatty pork belly), some stir fried long beans, and stir fried lamb.  This place is actually remarkably lighter on the salt by default than other chinese spots I've been to (in a very home-style kind of way), but still very delicious and comforting.  However, do note that the stir fried lamb really does not hold back on the chili peppers (a lovely three pepper mixture of spicy greens, reds, and pickled peppers), so those without spicy tolerance be warned.  :)

Food is amazing, service can be a bit slow at times, but the food is worth the wait!!

Me and my friend went there last weekend. Normally we order 3 dishes for a dinner. But we were surprised by the size that we can't even finish them. The food are delicious also. Will recommend! :)

This place is so yummy! I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. We ordered the boiled beef in chili oil, lamb ribs, crystal noodles, green beans, and crispy pork roll. All of them were incredible. The menu has large and has a selection of comfort foods, dumplings, home cookings, and unique dishes.

Great food and service! Been a while since I had authentic stinky tofu! Would visit more often

Beef Stew Noodles - Numb spicy.  Mainland Chinese kind not the Taiwanese kind.  Decent portion, beef stew was tender.  I think it's good quality but since I don't like numb spicy, not my favorite dish.
Combo Fried Rice - I've ordered Grandma's fried rice with smoke pork before, and this time I ordered combo fried rice.  Very consistent.  I like the way they do the fried rice, the texture, aroma, flavor.  All very good.  They also stack it with many ingredients. Lots of different kinds of meats.

Grandma's kitchen has the best food
I love their cabbage pork
Excellent smell and taste

Grandma's kitchen is awesome!! I got takeout about 3 times now and every time the food is consistently good. Wait time is really long, at least 30-45min, so remember to order online in advance!
Fish fillet with tofu - 5/5 - hugeee portion for the price of about $17. Huge fish and tofu plus egg, and so savory yet clean tasting! This has got to my favorite dish here, I've ordered it every time I'm there. MUST ORDER THIS!!
Sweet and sour fish - 5/5 - can't go wrong with sweet and sour fish or pork at a Chinese restaurant. I prefer the sweet and sour fish over the pork. Fish tasted fresh and sauce was on point.
Shrimps with crispy rice cracker - 4/5 - the rice cracker at the bottom soaks up the chili oil from the prawns. Surprisingly this wasn't too spicy, was very salty but still tasty.
Boiled beef in chili oil - 4/5 - omg just looking at the dish, I knew my lips and insides were gonna burn. No regrets though, beef was very tender, and mix it all together with rice for a tasty meal!
Fried rice - 3/5 - my least favorite dish out of everything I ordered. Just an average fried rice and very salty.
Overall, we loved the food at grandma's kitchen! Portions are big and affordable. Honestly one of the better Chinese food I've had around the bay.

Great food! I love it so much. Highly remembered beef and dessert too. Big amount even I finished eating still have a lot left for my next day meals

Glad I caught their 15% off promotion (extended to the end of January)! Another yummy Chinese restaurant is always welcome :)
My family ordered the fish filets with tofu, shrimp with crispy rice cracker, grandma's all in one pot, eggplants, string beans, and potatoes, and sweet and sour pork. Everything we tried was a hit, but the fish filet and shrimp dishes really stood out! The fish filet is layered on top of tofu and sits in a moat made of steamed egg (what a pleasant surprise). This dish was light, and each component was so tender! The crispy rice cracker in the shrimp dish absorbed all that spicy sauce without getting soggy! Grandma's all in one pot reminded me of Korean army stew and had spam, mushrooms, beef, fish, cabbage, etc.
Sadly the popular tofu skin and pork roll wasn't available today, but I'll definitely be back to try it! So glad to add another restaurant to my list :)

the staff is so friendly; the tables and environment are so clean. I ordered 芙蓉豆腐鱼 and even it was for ToGo, it tasted so great at home. My family really enjoyed it, especially my kid. He said it reminded him the signature dish his grandma makes for him whenever he goes to her house. The restaurant name really reflects what Its food tastes like.

Looks like an ordinary building from the outside but don't let that deter you. Their food is really good and homey. We got the kung pao chicken and fried rice. They even gave us a sweet Asian honey colored drink! We have been here a few times already and they are consistently delicious. They did a few renovations on the interior as well. Would definitely recommend!

In the old Kitsho's space, this is yummy Chinese comfort food.  The Steamed Fish Filet with Tofu and the Stir-Fried Beef with Asparagus were beautifully executed.  I am looking forward to trying the rest of the dishes on the menu over the next few weeks.  I have been looking for a good Cantonese/Mandarin restaurant ever since the Mandarin Gourmet resto closed and this is it, methinks!
