Reviews:
We came here by fluke as we wanted to go to another restaurant that was close to closing on the intended restaurant and the had started closing.
We were taken aback by the dinner entree prices, but for authentic food that seems to be the norm. We came in close to lunch and we're able to order from the lunch menu. We weren't so hungry so that worked out perfectly. We ordered spring rolls for and appetizer and they were light and delicious. No greasy feel like many places. My Mongolian beef was delicious. The meat was tender, not chewy and perfectly seasoned. My girlfriend had the tofu dish and while she said she'd eat half and save the rest, she went through the entire meal, not a morsel left.
The food was really good and the service was great. Our only complaint was that the egg drop soup was warm, not hot but otherwise it was very good also.
If definitely go back for more !
We initially tried going to the Thai restaurant across the street at 845 (it closed at 10) and the hostess was extremely rude and wouldn't let anyone dine in for some reason. We checked this restaurant after and it was such a blessing! The entire staff is the NICEST and most welcoming people I've met in a long time.
As for the food, it has to be the BEST CHINESE in New York. Do I dare say it's even "Legendary"? Everything tasted extremely fresh, but more importantly it tasted healthy and not greasy at all. The flavors were tremendous! The fried rice was very aromatic and the portions were large. Writing this review makes me crave the entire meal all over again. I wish I lived closer because I would easily do take out or dine in atleast 2-3x a week.
I'm going to recommend this place to everyone I know.
Excellent food. Terrific service by Jackie and his son. Dry Pot Lamb less spicy to regular spicy was so good. My wife's kung po chicken ordered not spicy was so flavorful. Soup dumplings were excellent. We will return
Brought my mother here for dinner because she loves sit down Chinese restaurants. We really loved this place. Their menu is very interesting and we ordered items that we have never seen before. Started out with a soup. It was like egg drop soup with ground beef and cilantro and scallions. It was really yummy. Then we got a special scallion pancake that was used to wrap around duck with hoisin sauce and some cucumber. It was very good. then we got these lamb chops that had cumin and sautéed garlic with some vegetables. It was listed as "lamb ribs", but it was baby lamb chops. they were really good. It did not have any sauce, but was delicious.
I'm not from the area and stopped in for a quick bite before a nearby appointment. I never thought I would have some of the best fried chicken I'd ever had. I wish I had thought to take pictures but it was really that good. It was fried chicken with fried red peppers and the way the flavor hit my mouth was amazing. It was spicy but flavorful and the peppers left your mouth numb but in a good way. It's so hard to explain but well worth it. If I'm ever in the area again I'll be sure to stop by.
this restaurant! We have brought several people back.to try it. We live in Long Beach and it's worth the 20 minute drive. Service and food are exceptional and we always try something new. Hidden gem!
Delicis Legend is an excellent Chinese restaurant serving Sichuan authentic dishes. Long Island has plenty of take out fast Chinese spots but it's rare to find something like this. The service is great and the owner is very friendly and accommodating. I strongly recommend Delicis Legend to anyone looking for an authentic Chinese cuisine.
Great new Chinese restaurant in the area. Sauteed Chicken w.Fresh Vegetable I picked up my food but when I walked in the interior was very nice. The servers were enthusiastic. I ordered the Sauteed Chicken w.Fresh Vegetable. It comes with white rice but brown rice is extra. The chicken was tender and the sauce was great. The lunch specials looked good and are well priced. I am looking forward to trying the lunch specials.
Found this place while working in NYC and so glad that I did or I would had missed this deliciousness. Only ordered the Lunch menu so far but all the ones that I had tried were Damn good.
Mongolian beef, I gobbled that up but had to savor as much as I could till the last onion. The best part of this is that I don't taste the MSG after effects like many other places for that was amazing itself for NYc standards. If anyone is close by then give it a try, for I enjoyed every piece.
Atmosphere might need some work but I didn't go there for how nice the place looks like for I care how good the food taste.
I tried this place for take out after it was rev o ended by another restaurant owner in another town. I ordered take out that I picked up.The interior was pretty and really clean. It is a full restaurant and has a full bar area. It reminded me of old school sit down Chinese restaurants. I can't wait to comeback an stay for the order.
The food was great! Lowmien special-the noodles were perfect and not greasy. Perfect amount of vegetables and protein. Beef with vegetables and rice -I didn't try but it looked and smelled amazing.
Nice to have finally found authentic Chinese food. Ordered take out from the lunch menu and wasn't disappointed. Had several
Appetizers-spring rolls, scallion pancake and spicy dumplings. Spicy means spicy- so if you are not a fan of spicy order something else. Lunch came with soup of
Which the hot and sour was quite good. Wontons were light and fluffy. General Tso, Mongolian beef and spicy tofu entrees were flavorful. Not oily like some American Chinese dishes are. Prices seem a bit high, but maybe you get what you pay for. Next time we want to eat in the restaurant.
